Shopify took over the two main Underground stations outside of the 2023 eCommerce Expo in London. With over 40 placements across the two stations, Shopify’s goal was to position itself as the must-visit booth.


Project constraints

With a short timeline and no production budget, we needed to get scrappy with how we would get this to market. In the end, we paired a simplified checkout experience with a bold new claim to encourage visitors to speak with sales reps at the conference.


 
 

Just say the thing

With this campaign, we chose not to beat around the bush. We knew we had limited time to grab people’s attention given these placements were in a transitional space.

 

We leaned heavily on the Shopify Plus brand expression of a vibrant green coupled with black and white. This allowed the creative to feel integrated while also standing out in a complex and stimulating environment.

 

The Results

The event had over 12,000 attendees and our presence led to marketing and sales hitting their leads and open ops targets.
